Lalico Coffee

Lalico Coffee

Glenn’s coffee journey began as a personal pursuit for a healthier lifestyle, which led him to explore various coffee types and regions. He then planned a trip to Southeast Asia, where his life took an unexpected turn after meeting Sukesi (or Kessy), an Indonesian woman from East Java. During a bout of illness, Kessy cared for Glenn, and their connection blossomed into a long-distance romance.

When Glenn visited Kessy’s family in East Java, he was treated to the coffee culture firsthand. Her family worked on a coffee plantation producing diverse and high-quality beans. Glenn was inspired by his experience and returned to the UK with a new love for authentic Indonesian coffee. He began roasting beans at home with a popcorn maker, developing his skills and eventually gaining coffee education qualifications.

Starting small by selling coffee on eBay, he later founded Lalico Coffee, named after his daughter, Lalita, who symbolizes his family’s passion and purpose. Lalico Coffee now offers carefully sourced and roasted coffee, sharing Glenn’s love for authentic flavors with others.
